Istanbul in Bloom

The Annual Istanbul Tulip Festival takes place every April. Millions of tulips are planted in parks, avenues, streets and even on the walls! The 11th Istanbul Tulip Festival opened on9 April 2016 in Emirgan Park, the site of the most splendiferous tulip display in the city. Throughout April, many events occur all over the city, including the Goztepe 60. Yil Park,Sultanahmet Square and Emirgan Park. The events include tulip photography exhibitions, glass blowing workshops, the traditional Turkish art of Ebru (water-marbling), tulip sculpture exhibitions and much more. You can even buy some tulip bulbs to grow at home.

So, if you happen to be in Istanbul in April, be sure to visit these spots to enjoy and admire the tulips of Istanbul.
