The Trail of the Ghosts: Lycian Way

The Lycian Way is a long-distance footpath in Turkey around through pineforests overlooking the Mediterranean. It is approximately 540 km long and stretches from Oludeniz, near Fethiye, to Geyikbayiri, about 20 kilometers from Antalya.You can start and end wherever you want. The Kingdom of the Sun on Mt. Nemrut

Resurraction of Ashab-i Keyf

According to Quran and the Bible, there is a group of men called Ashab-i Keyf. Their names are Yemliha, Mekselina, Mislina, Mernush, Debernush, Shazenush. They were escaping from the reign of the king Dominiatus because he was killing those who were not pagan worshippers. They met a shepherd and his dog Kitmir who took them to a cave to pray to God for help. They fell asleep in the cave for 300 years. When they woke up Yemliha went to the city to buy food, thinking they had slept only for a day. He found the city completely changed and the money he had not in use anymore. He returned to his friends in the cave. They went back to sleep never to awaken again.

Heaven and Hell

Cennet Cehennem (literally Heaven and Hell), located in Mersin city, consists of naturally created caves. To reach the “heaven cave” you go down hundreds of meters. On the 300th step you will get to an underground church where you can listen to the sounds of a mythical river. According to a myth Zeus beat Typhon, the dragon with a hundred heads, here and kept it in the “hell cave” before jailing it under Mt. Etna.
